Here are some of the answers to some of the frequently asked questions about the Angel Hair for Kids program.

How do I apply for a wig or hair prosthesis?

To apply for a wig or hair prosthesis your health or social care professional such as your doctor or social worker can contact the foundation for an in-take request package. This package MUST be filled out and submitted by the health or social care provider. The foundation reviews each request on an individual basis and strives to provide a response as soon as possible.
How long does my hair have to be to donate?

Hair must be 12 inches or more. It must be clean, dry and free of any chemical treatment or processing.

Where do I donate my hair?

Your hair donation can be mailed to or dropped off at A Child’s Voice Foundation office.

How much does it cost to make a wig?

Currently, the foundation budgets between $800-$1000 to cover manufacturing costs and the special kit each child receives.
